Flecknoe Cricket Club 2016
After a challenging 2016 season, it was time to relax and share an evening with friends and enjoy a supper in the village hall on Saturday 26 November 2016. The Kings Head, Napton, prepared and served a delicious beef meal all washed down with wine. Ron Witts gave the annual presentation and Martin Binder thanked the players and supporters of the Flecknoe team. The Trophies were then handed out as follows:
Most Catches in the Field Trophy was presented to Edward Scotney
Witts Batting Trophy was presented to Andrew Brown
Jim Adkins Bowling Trophy was presented to Erling Lindoe
Clubman of the Year Trophy was presented to Tom Falkingham
Players’ Player of the Year (Captain’s Trophy) was presented to Steve Keyworth.
The season ended with a 20/20 Match organised by Andrew Brown which was well supported by the Flecknoe villagers. Martin also thanked Carmen for arranging the supper, Morris the groundsman for looking after the grounds and the tea ladies for refreshing the players. David Thomas, Dougie Hargraves and Matt Binder were thanked for working in the back ground keeping the cricket field in good order.

Defibrillator in Flecknoe
Our defibrillator is now fixed to the Village Hall external wall and is running. The Emergency services have its details so if you dial 999 you will be given access. The committee is now looking into a registered responder service which can contact the volunteers to help in an emergency. Further funding is also needed for training and ongoing maintenance.
Defibrillator in Sawbridge
Suggestions to install a defibrillator in the red telephone box in Sawbridge may be prohibitive due to costs involved fitting an electrical supply to the kiosk. Should anyone be willing to have a defibrillator fitted on their external house wall, please contact April Knapp.
Our PCSO has been temporary seconded to another part of the Warwickshire Police force. Our new contacts are PCSO Kamila Shilton and PC Paula Haden.
